In the second T20 of the day Intouch Sagarmatha and Pacific College took the field. Winning the toss, Pacific College’s captain Manoj Mandal called for Batting. Under the bright sunlight, the decision to bat was worthwhile.
Baibhav (23) and Prabin Gautam (6) gave a reasonable start. On his third over, Sagarmatha’s Ruben managed to nab Prabin’s wicket. Bijay struck fine 12 in 15 balls before adjudged LBW. Sagarmatha’s bowlers checked in with good old fashioned bowling. As a result, Pacific College only managed 86 runs.
In contrast Intouch Sagarmatha’s batsman looked comfortable playing their natural game. Especially batting duo Suraj (19) and Atul (19) gather the momentum as game progressed. A perfectly timed pull shot from Suraj for 6 was the highlight of the innings. Though, Sagarmatha lost wickets in regular interval, they never lost the sight of the game. Experienced batsman like Rajendra Shrestha (14) and Captain Aakash (11) sealed the game with boundary.
With this an exciting prospect of competitive cricket match awaits on the horizon.
